Ingredients

  • 500g potatoes
  • 500g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g butter
  • 25g fresh yeast
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes until smooth.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with flour, sugar, eggs, melted butter, yeast, lemon zest, and salt.
  3. Knead until you have a smooth dough, then let it rise for 2 hours.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into doughnut shapes.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and fry the doughnuts until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and coat with sugar.
