  • Spaghetti – 320g
  • Canned tuna in oil – 160g
  • Tomato puree – 400g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Chili pepper – to taste
  • Anchovy fillets – 4
  • Capers – 30g
  • Black olives – 50g
  • Fresh basil – a few leaves
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, in a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic and chili pepper.
  3. Add the anchovy fillets and let them dissolve in the oil.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree and cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the drained tuna, capers, and olives, and let the sauce simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
