Breaded Tofu with Tomatoes and Yogurt Sauce

Looking for a delicious idea for your vegetarian main dishes? Breaded Tofu with Tomatoes and Yogurt Sauce is a tasty and versatile alternative, perfect for everyday menus. This dish is an evergreen recipe that can be adapted to any season, making it a must-try among Italian recipes.

In this recipe, tofu is coated in an irresistibly crispy crust: first, it’s dipped in a simple batter made of water and chickpea flour, then rolled in panko, the traditional Japanese breadcrumb made from crustless white bread, which ensures a unique and dry crispiness. To balance the savory fried tofu, it’s served with the fresh and slightly tangy notes of yogurt sauce and the aromatic, juicy touch of a tomato salad. This breaded tofu is a flavorful main course rich in contrasts that will surprise you!
