Ingredients

  • 500g mackerel fillets
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 30g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 30g raisins
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Parsley, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 500ml tomato sauce
  • Olive oil, for frying

  1. Clean the mackerel fillets, removing any bones and skin, then chop finely.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chopped mackerel, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, raisins, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a uniform mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
