This recipe faithfully captures the authentic flavors of traditional tiramisu with a soft, coffee-infused base topped with a creamy mascarpone filling made with pâte à bombe for a denser texture. Ingredients

  • 120g of sugar
  • 100g of flour
  • 100g of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 50ml of coffee
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 200g of mascarpone
  • 80g of powdered sugar
  • 100ml of heavy cream
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cupcake tray with liners.
  2. In a bowl, beat the sugar and butter until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the coffee.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and fold gently.
  6. Divide the batter into the cupcake liners and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. While baking, prepare the mascarpone cream by beating mascarpone and powdered sugar together.
  8. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  9. Once cupcakes are cooled, pipe the mascarpone cream on top.
  10. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
