Ingredients

  • 350g casarecce pasta
  • 400g datterino tomato puree
  • 200g friggitelli peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the friggitelli peppers, then remove the seeds and cut into strips.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until golden.
  3. Add the friggitelli and cook until they soften.
  4. Pour in the datterino tomato puree, season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the casarecce pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
