Ingredients

  • 1 homemade sage-infused shortcrust pastry
  • 2 Kaiser pears
  • 200g Fontina cheese
  • 30g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 200ml cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the sage-infused shortcrust pastry and place it in a tart pan.
  3. Peel and slice the pears, then sauté them in butter until golden.
  4. In a bowl, mix eggs, cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Arrange the pears and diced Fontina cheese on the pastry.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the top.
  7. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until set and golden.
